Check out Our Five Best Snacks at Disney World!
If you are at all like me, you know that one of the most important things to plan out for your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the FOOD! While I love the attractions, the shows, and all the other magical entertainment that Disney World has to offer, I look forward to the food the most (and more specifically the SNACKS! I know that I am not alone as Disney Snacks have become just as iconic as Cinderella Castle over the last couple of years with the introduction of shirts, hats, keychains, and even jewelry featuring many of the iconic snack options that Disney World has to offer.
When we go to Disney World, we always choose one of the dining plans. Over the years, we have learned what to get and where to eat if we want to maximize the Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits. One of the most important aspects to maximizing the potential of the Disney Dining Plan is making sure that we are getting the best snacks to get the most out of the Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits.
How to determine the best bang for your buck
In looking at the best options, I always like to make sure that we are only using Snack Credits on items that are over $6.00. We will buy so much food in the parks that if I want something that is snack credit eligible but comes in at a price less than $6.00, I will usually use cash. The only exception to this rule is if I get to the last day of our adventure and realize that we still have a couple of snack credits left on our accounts. In the rare case that this happens, our friends and family will be getting Mickey-shaped rice crispy treats for souvenirs!
#1 The Colossal Cinnamon Roll – $7.49
Now, there is some good baked goods in each of the parks, but nothing can compare to the Colossal Cinnamon Roll that is currently being offered at both Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery and at Creature Comforts. At the time of writing this, you can only pick these up in these two locations, but of which are located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I am sure that you have seen the pictures on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, but the pictures do not do this thing justice! When you get this colossal Mickey-shaped cinnamon roll, you will see what I mean. We have a family of 4, and when we visited the Animal Kingdom, we got two and that was enough of breakfast for all of us to share. Pair it up with a nice Venti Iced coffee from Creature Comforts (aka Starbucks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom), and you will be good to go!
#2 The Mickey Pretzel with Cheese Dip – about $7.00 depending on location

For the longest time, these amazing salty treats were only available on the west coast at Disneyland, but a few years ago, Disney finally wised up and brought them over to the east coast! The classic Mickey Pretzel with Cheese dipping sauce can be found at various bakeries, counter-service restaurants, and food carts throughout each of the four parks. I believe that you can even find one in Disney Springs, but I am not able to verify that at this time.
#3 Funnel Cakes – Especially at Oasis Canteen in Hollywood Studios – $8.49

Now, anytime you see a funnel cake at Walt Disney World, there is a good chance that it will fall into our parameters of being a great Dining Plan snack credit. Most of them come in between $6.00 and $7.00, but if you make your way over to the Oasis Canteen at Hollywood Studios (just outside of the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular), you will find the best option. When you visit Oasis Canteen, you will see that they offer two different funnel cake options – The Funnel Cake with Strawberry Topping and Soft-serve Vanilla Ice Cream and the Funnel Cake with Cookies ‘n Cream and Soft-serve Vanilla Ice Cream. Each of these funnel cakes comes in at $8.49 which makes them one of the best options you will find on a regular menu in Walt Disney World. Not only that, but they are amazing, and will make a great shareable for your whole family on just one snack credit!
#4 The Pineapple Upside Down Cake at Aloha Isle – $6.99
This next item is fairly new to the Magic Kingdom and can be found at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. You are probably already familiar with this location as for the longest time, it was the only place you could score the legendary Dole Whip. Well, Disney World has upped their game with this offering as you will get a nice-sized slice of pineapple upside-down cake that can be served with Pineapple DOLE Whip®, Vanilla DOLE Whip® or a swirl of the two. I can assure you that this is one thing that you will want to use the My Disney Experience App to Mobile Order as the lines can get pretty long at Aloha Isle!
#5 Almost Anything at Epcot During the Festivals – $6.00 up to $9.00+
Throughout the year, Epcot features a few different festivals that you might be aware of. While the actual dates do change slightly from year to year, the Festival of the Arts goes from January through February, Flower and Garden Festival runs from March through June, the International Food and Wine Festival runs from August through November, and the Festival of the Holidays runs from November through December. If you have visited any of these festivals, you know that they set up booths and kiosks throughout Epcot that feature different foods depending on which festival is currently happening. If you will be there during a festival, I recommend that you save your meal credits and spend all of your snack credits here as most of the great food options range from $6.00 all the way up to almost $10.00 per item. We were there for the International Food and Wine Festival, and we took major advantage of these items, many of which were amazing!
Other Noteworthy Treats
While these listed here are our absolute favorites, please know that there are so many other items that you can use your snack credits on that we did not mention in the rankings. Throughout the parks, you can find great snacks like the Pulled Pork Cheese Fries at Flame Tree Bar-B-Q, the Garlic Knots at Pizzafari, the Fruit Smoothies at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, the Mickey Waffle at Sleepy Hollow, as well as multiple great options throughout many of the on-property resorts.
