Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Officially Open Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is now officially open to the public. For the past few weeks, Epcot has opened this attraction to cast members and Annual Passholders for an early preview. Officially on May 27, 2022, the attraction opened to the public via a virtual queue.  For now, there is no actual line, so all guests must join the virtual queue or purchase an individual lightning lane.

How to Ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Joining the Virtual Queue

To ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at no extra cost, you’ll need to join the virtual queue starting at 7:00 am and again at 1:00 pm. If you are staying in select Disney Hotels, you will also have an additional opportunity to join the virtual queue on Mondays at 6:00 pm for the Extended Evening Hours events.

Guests will need to sign on immediately at 7:00 am in the morning to try and grab a spot. There are only so many boarding groups throughout the day, and you aren’t guaranteed to make it on. The attraction so far has been operating without issues, which is not what we could say about Rise of the Resistance when it opened.

Paying for an Individual Lightning Lane

You can also purchase this ride via the Genie Plus Individual Lighting Lane. The price for this attraction varies based on how busy the park is. The highest price posted on opening day was $17 per person to ride this attraction. Is it worth it? Many say that it is! What do you think?

Whether you will be riding through the virtual queue or plan on purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane, you need to be ready at 7:00 am with the fastest fingers in the galaxy as both options have been selling out within minutes.
