Disney Stroller

Check out all of the Disney World Stroller Options!

If you are preparing for your next Disney World vacation, and you plan on taking little ones with you, there is a good chance that you are considering your Disney World stroller options.  Your little ones might not be using a stroller every day, but when you head out to Disney World, there is a great chance that you will be walking upward of 10 miles or more per day, so if your child isn’t used to this, they will definitely let you know during your first day in the park!  While there are many options, you must decide what is most important for you and your little ones.  Will you need a single or a double?  Do you want to rent one or do you want to buy one?  If you rent, will you rent from Disney World or are you looking for an off-site vendor?  With so many options available, it can be more of a headache than you are ready for at this time.  Let us walk you through some of the options that are available to you for your next Disney World vacation!

Will you need a single stroller or a double stroller?

If you have two children anywhere in the range of birth to about 7 or 8, I would highly advise getting a double stroller.  Not only is the older sibling not used to walking as much as they will on your average park day, but there is also a good chance they will suffer from stroller envy if the younger sibling is getting to relax in the stroller all day while they are walking.  If you will be renting a double stroller, I will have recommendations below.  If you plan on buying a double stroller, my recommendation would be the Delta Children City Street LX Side by Side Stroller.  This is the most affordable travel double that I have found coming in around $65 to $70.  If you will be buying a simple single stroller, I would recommend that you check out your local Wal-Mart as they have some great affordable options. Want to buy a stroller for your trip?

If you will plan on buying a stroller ahead of time, you will need to decide if you want something that is easy to transport (can collapse to fit in a light bag) or if you are looking for affordability.  I just gave recommendations for the best options for a single stroller and a double stroller, but if you want something that is very lightweight and can be folded down to the size of a book, I have a couple more options for you to consider.  If you are looking for the best that you can buy and cost isn’t important, I would suggest the GB Pockit+ Lightweight Stroller.  The Pockit Stroller comes in at about $220.  When folded up, The Pockit Lightweight Stroller’s dimensions come in at 12.5″ x 7.8″ x 14.9 which makes it the perfect travel companion.  If you are looking for something similar with a friendlier price tag, you should definitely check out the Baby Joy Pocket Stroller.  This stroller is about half the price coming in just under $120. Not only is this a more affordable option, it also comes with a bag for it to fit into when folded up.  Also, when folded, the Baby Joy Pocket Stroller’s dimensions are 12.5″ x 12.5″ x 6.5″ (slightly smaller than those of the Pockit.

What if you want to rent one from Disney World or an Orlando vendor?

Over our most recent travels, we have tried both renting a stroller from Disney World, and we have used an outside vendor.  Here are some things to consider when renting a stroller from Disney World.  The strollers at Disney World are going to be more expensive than renting from a local vendor.  Also, the strollers at Disney are not the most comfortable for the little ones.  They are made out of hard (easy to clean) plastic and they do not recline or provide much storage.  Also, they must be picked up and dropped off at the front of each park each day, so if you are looking for something to take from the resorts to the busses or monorail, and then into the parks, you will definitely want to consider a local vendor.  If you consider a local vendor, the prices are all fairly similar.  Most of them will deliver to your resort prior to check-in and pick the stroller up from the resort after you leave.  With local vendors, you can get singles or doubles in various styles and prices, most of which will still be less than you can expect to pay with Disney World for a far superior product.  While we have not used every vendor, here is a list of companies that are available to check out.

So far, we have only used Kingdom Strollers, and based on our amazing experience with them, we would highly recommend them. As we try out different vendors, we will give you a review and let you know our thoughts!

As we mentioned when we started out, there are many different options to choose from depending on what you are looking for.  Have you used any of the vendors that we mentioned?  If so, who was your favorite?  Would you use them again in the future?  Would you rather buy it?  Have you ever thought about buying an affordable stroller specifically for your vacation only to find a family coming in on your last day that you can hand the stroller off to so that you can add a little magic to another family’s vacation?  Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!  Please feel free to like and share our post if you enjoyed it!
